This is a generally neutral posting that I am using as a way of dipping a toe in before I get real with some elements and pieces that could be considered controversial to some. And I welcome that controversy and hope that it leads to conversation, clarity and community. My plan is to use this space to talk about my journey as authentically as possible in the hopes that women who may be going through similar transitions in their own experience will relate to what I say and find that it resonates in helpful ways. I will also use it as a place to post information related to my work related to nurturing expansion.
The past 5 years of my life have been a complete deep dive into listening to and following my intuition. My intuition said move to Madison, I did. I moved here for what I thought was a job working at a business I had dreamed up already in existence…but what unfolded was much different to my delight. I am now a mother of two beautiful girls. I married a man who I love deeply and I am grateful in so many ways to our partnership and co-creation. There is something about listening to your intuition…a component of it is allowing things to unfold in their own way. I moved here, began cheffing at Surya Café and then I became pregnant. Simultaneously Covid happened. I was locked down with the father of my baby who had just moved in to my tiny apartment. What a perfect person to be locked down with! I have to say that I was thriving and going through dramatic transitions during Covid and couldn’t be more pleased to have found myself in Madison for it.
As we emerge from the experience of Covid and I personally emerge from my experience of being a pregnant person (I am 2.5 years out at this point), I notice that I am coming back into myself, my personality, my sense of self. I am Momma but I am also Meagan. How those two worlds integrate is this the Temple Tree Way. I want to share all the tools that I have incorporated into my world that give me peace of mind, ease in my body, and deeper connection with the divine and intuition. Massage therapy, yoga, meditation, the power of breath and sound to transform energy, energetic practices, ceremony to acknowledge and celebrate transitions and connection, being in nature, gathering around food and being nourished…all of these things have been included in how I nurture myself through life. This is what I seek to offer others in their moments of transition.
